Frederick William Sherratt may actually be Frederick William Goldstraw, nephew of David and Rachel Goldstraw. On census records from 1881 and 1891 he is living with David/Rachel using Goldstraw name. Since marriage date is known marriage certificate will be purchased soon to clear up who his parents are. It is most likely Frederick William Goldstraw, son of Thomas Goldstraw and Elizabeth Harrison.

Twins Fanny and Jane Goldstraw Sherratt were the daughters of Rachel Goldstraw prior to marriage to David. On the 1861 Census they are all living with Rachel's parents Peter and Frances Goldstraw.

On 1871 Census Fanny is living with step-father David Sherratt and mom Rachel. Jane is still with her grandparents Peter and Frances Goldstraw.

On 1881 Census Jane is living as a servant in Ashton Under Lyme for the Neal family. She later marries James Taylor in Ashton in 1884. Her marriage certificates states her name as Jane Goldstraw Sherratt and notes David Sherratt under Father as "overlooker".

On 1911 Census Rachel is a widow age 72 living at 11 Blurton Road, Fendon with daughter Fanny who is single, age 50.
